Do you think democracy/capitalism is the only way we have in order to build prosperous society? a) if so, why do you think so? b)if not, why not?

I think that while democracy might be the best way to build a prosperous society, other economical systems than capitalism, when implemented right, would also work, for example socialism enables greater equality than capitalism.
