Haze has become an inevitable phenomenon in big cities. What are the major emission sources have been discussed very much. Now you obtained the inhalable particulate matter data of recent years for Beijing and Shanghai and some related data including Total Emission of Smoke and Dust, total number of vehicles etc. as shown in the data sheet. Your task is to get some tentative conclusions about which are the main factors that are associated with the inhalable particulate matter from the data. Please fully use the data to tell some story. Specifically: 1. How will you deal with the missing data? NA represent “Not available”.
2. Please look at the data step by step with various data analysis methods and give some explanations on the trends of the data.
3. Please do a regression analysis with sequential fitting method. Use diagnostic methods to evaluate your regression results and reach a suitable regression model.
4. What factors seems to be more related to the inhalable particulate matter?
5. How the inhalable particulate matter change with years?
6. Is the regression relationship different for different cities? If they are different, in which way they are different from each other.
7. Write down what you learnt from the data analysis.

Please fully use data analysis methods you learnt from this course and reach your conclusions about the data. You might want to follow similar analysis steps as the midterm project and add some diagnostic analysis as we learnt in the later part of the course. Please write down more about your understanding on the data and analysis after you get the tables and figures from the statistical software.
