A small particle with positive charge q = +4.25 x 10^-4C and mass m = 5.00 x 10^-5 kg is moving in a region of uniform electric and magnetic fields. The magnetic field is B=4.00 T in the +z-direction. The electric field is also in the +z-direction and has magnitude E = 60.0 N/C. At time t = 0 the particle is on the y-axis at y = +1.00 m and has velocity v = 30.0 m/s in the +x-direction. Neglect gravity.
a) What are the x-, y-, and z-coordinates of the particle at t = 0.0200 s?
b) What is the speed of the particle at t = 0.0200 s?

Two 1.20-m nonconducting wires meet at a right angle. one segment carries + 2.50 µc of charge distributed uniformly along its length, and the other carries - 2.50 µc distributed uniformly along it, as shown in fig. 21.50. ( a. find the magnitude and direction of the electric field these wires produce at point p, which is 60.0 cm from each wire. ( b. if an electron is released at p, what are the magnitude and direction of the net force that these wires exert on it?
