Lets find outthis solution would have to satisfy BOTH inequalities for it to be a solution.
So we sub and check...
y > 5x + 5
5 > 5(-2) + 5
5 > -10 + 5
5 > -5...correct...now we check the other one

y > -1/2x + 1
5 > -1/2(-2) + 1
5 > 1 + 1
5 > 2correct

and since it satisfies both inequalities, it IS a solution
