The linear function f(x)=x is graphed on a coordinate plane. The graph of a
new line is formed by changing the slope of the original line to 5 and the y-intercept to. Describe the transformation between these two graphs and write the equation.
So I think the new equation is g(x)=5f(x)+2, but I’m not sure if it’s in the right format. I know the first transformation is vertically stretched by 5, but the 2 is either translated up or left.

Afactory makes propeller drive shafts for ships. a quality assurance engineer at the factory needs to estimate the true mean length of the shafts. she randomly selects four drive shafts made at the factory, measures their lengths, and finds their sample mean to be 1000 mm. the lengths are known to follow a normal distribution whose standard deviation is 2 mm. calculate a 95% confidence interval for the true mean length of the shafts. input your answers for the margin of error, lower bound, and upper bound.

In order for the function to be linear, what must m be and why? m = 22 because the rate of change is 1. m = 20 because the rate of change is 3. m = 22 because the rate of change is -1. m = 20 because the rate of change is -3.
