Rafael, Eduardo, and Paulo came to the United States when their families immigrated when they were much younger. Now that they are studying Latin America in their
social studies class, they enjoy discussing the countries where they were born, and
their parents lived for many years, Eduardo says that his country has a similar
economy to the United States, a
mostly market economy with only a few things like
electric companies run by the government. Rafael's family had the opposite
experience, since the country where they lived had almost everything controlled by
the government. Paulo's family's experience was in the middle, since they come from a
country with a mostly market economy but some major businesses like steel factories
were owned by the government. Based on the different experiences of their families,
what could we conclude about these three classmates?

O Eduardo is from Mexico, Rafael is from Cuba, and Paulo is from Brazil.
