In theory, the redistribution of wealth would reduce large gaps between the rich and the poor. The Soviets used the state-run command economy to reduce the economic gap. However, this method failed to provide a stable economy and, along with huge military spending, was the major cause of the collapse of the Soviet Union. But in capitalist economies the gap between rich and poor still exists, and in some places the gap is widening. Should capitalist countries try to narrow the income gap? Why or why not? What kinds of policies do you think would work? What are some of the effects of poverty? Can you see evidence of the income gap in your community?

I feel like capitalist country  shouldn't try to narrow the income gap .

Explanation:Though narrowing the income gap would be beneficial fro the poor ,  it wouldn't be the same the case for the country's economy as a whole . The more involved  the government gets the less prosperous it's economy gets . I feel the government should create more businesses  and hire people of poor background to work for them . They could also use the profits to help the poor  . They could also spend less on aspects of the country that are not  as necessary to the country . Poverty causes substandard housing, homelessness, inadequate nutrition and food insecurity, inadequate child care, lack of access to health care, unsafe neighborhoods, and under resourced schools which adversely impact our nation's children.  yes i can .
