Immigration is a European concern because immigrants:

European Countries have a low birth rate and the threat of migration influx increases a chance of culture dilution due to intermarriage and it also increases native population extinction. It is postulated that if the birth rate and the fertility rate continue to remain low, by 2300 Europe would have lost 95% of its population. For example, Italy has a fertility rate of 1.4% and only 1% will be left as the problem continues.

Another concern about immigration is the effects on the economy as the native feel immigrants threaten their jobs and welfare, especially on countries with lower incomes. Some countries have refused immigration and to host refugees due to fear of terrorism committed by non-residents.
