Please help really important it due in 3 hours ps i chose benetha and explode Harlem

By Langston Hughes

What happens to a dream deferred?

Does it dry up
like a raisin in the sun?
Or fester like a sore—
And then run?
Does it stink like rotten meat?
Or crust and sugar over—
like a syrupy sweet?

Maybe it just sags
like a heavy load.

Or does it explode?

The title of the play A Raisin in the Sun was taken from a line in the poem Harlem by Langston Hughes. The poem uses simile, comparisons using like or as, in order to comment on what happens to people’s dreams when they are unable to work toward achieving them.
