Heres The passage The Farmer and the Well

A farmer, who was looking for a source of water for his farm, bought a small part of the land in his neighbor's backyard and dug a well. The neighbor was cunning and refused to let the farmer take water from the well.
Upon asking why, he replied, "I sold the land to you, not the water."
The distraught farmer did not know what to do, and he approached Birbal, a clever man and one of the nine officers in Emperor Akbar's court, for a solution.
Emperor Akbar called the farmer and his neighbor and asked the neighbor why he was not letting the farmer draw water from the well. The cunning man said the same thing again, "I sold the land, not the water, so he cannot take my water."
Upon hearing this, Birbal who was present with the emperor, replied, "All that sounds fine to me, but if you have sold the land and the water is yours, then you have no business keeping your water in his well, so you must remove the water or use it all up immediately. If not, the water will belong to the owner of the well."
Realizing that he had been tricked and taught a lesson, the man apologized to the farmer. The farmer thanked Emperor Akbar and Birbal for their help and learned to never fall into such a trap again.
