As a parent, Dr. Frankenstein should have reasoned with his child or creature to align his behavior with family and societal values and principles. But Dr. Frankenstein, who was too absorbed in creation, without understanding that a relationship should develop between the creator and the creature, ignored the constant pleas, forcing the creature to become his monster.

During that period, Europe satiated her curiosity with the limits of life, based on the revolutionary thoughts that festered its consciousness.

One can also infer that Mary Shelley was writing about the fruit of her sexual relationship with Dr. Victor Frankenstein, a laboratory scientist, who created a monster in her, which he refused to accept into his family.

Thus, Shelley warns humankind to observe the limits of their curiosity or be ready to accept the consequences.
