Dear Sir/Ma,

 My name is John Quincy, a second year mechanical engineering student at MIT. I am writing to tell you about a solar powered car I co-invented with a classmate, and the possibilities of marketing this car. I hope you read this letter with an open mind, and see the potentials of this solar car.

 The world is going green. The days of fossil fuel powered vehicles are numbered, and the world is tending towards a green sustainable means of powering vehicles. One of the most promising, and almost inexhaustible source of this power lies untapped in the sun. To this end, we have taken our time to thoroughly research on the possible ways of utilizing this energy in the automobile industry. The result was the development of a solar powered car.

  The effectiveness of this vehicle lies in many factors like an endless supply of energy all around it. Also, there will be a cut-down in carbon emission into the atmosphere, this way, combating global warming. The only setbacks in marketing this vehicle is that the technology involved is still relatively new, and expensive; but the price will slowly tend down in the future as more of this technology becomes relatively cheap. To the consumers, this initial price can be painstakingly ignored with the promise of an almost free energy for powering this vehicle afterwards.

  From all the potentials and advantages of this solar powered car, you can see that the car potentially pose a good market, and it would be wise for this solar powered car to be marketed. We will be expecting your favorable response soon, and we assure you that we  are capable of going into mass production should this proposal be approved.
