Paragraph 1 Many presidents of the United States owned pets. This pet was Lincoln's pet dog, Honey. Many people do not realize how much Abraham Lincoln loved animals. Throughout his lifetime, he owned several pets including dogs, cats, goats, and horses. One pet in particular stands out from the others. Paragraph 2 As a child, Lincoln liked to explore caves. Lincoln found his dog Honey when he was only 11 years old. There were a series of deep caves worthy of exploring. She was injured and lying near some caves in Indiana.
