Martin Luther King's famous jail letter provokes and inspires while at the same time being calming and assuring. To choose one though, it inspires the most.

Birmigham Jail letter was wrtten from behind the bars and starts by announcing that King is in jail because injustice is there. He compares his plight to the plight of many in history.

Yet the assured tone of his calm and confident letter allows one to see that he knows what is right and he knows that he can succeed.

This letter inspired many to join the Civil Rights movement with great vigor and provoked many to take to the streets to claim their rights.
