A30mm square tubing is to be welded to a steel frame and is loaded by a tension of 2kn and a bending moment of 300nm. the weld material is e7020 and the steel tube is aisi-1050 hr. determine the minimum thickness of the tube material for a factor of safety of 2. note this is not the weld. determine the minimum size weld assuming that the tube is welded all around.
