Were you missing Henry and Rachel? Here they are for one final appearance. Their teacher, Mr. France, has asked them to pour 3 different clear liquids in smaller dropper bottles back into their original containers. The liquids are mineral oil (which is like corn oil), Isopropyl alcohol, and water. Unfortunately, the labels have all fallen off of the smaller bottles. What would you recommend that Henry and Rachel do to figure out which liquid is which? And why? (NOTE: They know that it is not a good idea to touch or taste substances in a Science class unless they know what they are dealing with. And since they both have stuffy noses, they cannot smell the liquids. But they do have access to wax paper, pipettes, pennies and paper towels.) What should they do? And how will this help them know which liquid is which? *
