As I leave Belo Horizonte, I ask a truck driver what I must do to go to Diaman-
tina. The road I'm on, it seems, will take me straight to Brasilia.
- You go ahead, pass under two bridges. Then turn right when you pass
first bridge.
- For the first or the third?
- For the first after the second.
As far as information from my countrymen depends, I end up at mother Joana's house.
I ask this other, at the gas station, the distance from there to Diamantina.
- Not too close, no. But it is not far either - he informs seriously.
- How long will I take from here to there?
- That's okay, wow. If you run a lot, it takes little, if you run a little, it takes a lot.
