I To express age in Spanish, tener is used in the following manner. (Años means years.) Tengo 12 años. - I am twelve years old. I am twelve.
Mamá tiene 40 años. - Mom is 40 years old. Mom is 40.
Mis amigos tienen 13 y 14 años. – My friends are 13 and 14 years old. My friends are 13 and 14.
Follow the pattern in the model sentences, and answer each question. Change the form of the verb tener to agree with each new subject, if necessary.
MODELO: Tengo 14 años. ¿Y ellos? Ellos tienen 14 años, tambiéín.
1. Tengo 14 años. ¿Y María?
2. Tienes 12 años. ¿Y los muchachos?
