I asked her (preguntar) why she had made all of this food so early, and she said (decir) that, in Mexico, everyone eats a big lunch at 2 p. m. So, my sister and I sat down (sentarse) at the table and we ate (comer). The food was (estar) delicious! That day, I learned (aprender) my first lesson on Spanish culture!
