The formation of the political parties was a controversial question and even george washington warned the people about them. firstly, poeple like george washington believed that the political parties are harmful to the country and that there existed a great chance that the parties would care more about themselves and their power than about the country as a whole. they also believed that the parties would divide the people.secondly, those who supported the creation of the political parties thought it was natural for people to disagree and that by binding together people would more effectively advance their cause. they also believed that it is natural for people who have similar opinions to band together.
