What steps have educational authorities taken to curb violence and other criminal activities in schools

Igot these from another website not sure if it will apply to that but here it is.  coordinate federal crime prevention programs,  provide opportunities for youth to serve their communities,  establish and support family-based community centers that integrate service delivery through a range of promising prevention programs,  provide training and opportunities for youth employment,  provide youth with activities that encourage positive youth development,  increase school safety to improve opportunities for learning,  provide guidance on school-based conflict resolution programs,  provide mentoring opportunities for youth, and  launch an initiative to address the problem of youth outside the educational mainstream.
