Here are the three qualities required in different relationships:

1) Admiration - You may ask: how can this possibly improve my relationship with my enemy? Simple, admire the person and understand where the person is coming from and there will be less tolerance between you. Admiration will teach both parties what kind of person they are dealing with.

2) Respect - This is something you do not ask but you can definitely give without having to wait for any cue. As the golden rule teaches us: “So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets." - Matthew 7:12.

3) Trust - Trusting others doesn't only make them like you more because if you practice this, you will worry less and in the process, you will get less stress.

Three essential qualities required for any relations are:Respect: For any individual to build any form of relationship to next individual, there should be a level of respect. Acknowledgement of his/her importance and presence in that relationship should always be considered with high regards. Respect is the basis of treating one another with dignity and value, so when there is respect such relationship will last longer.Trust: There must of trust between people if they are in relationship. No matter what kind of relationship it is, there should be mutual trust. When there is trust, then people can be honest with each other, show their weakness or strength and build basis of long lasting relationship.Commitment: Committing to person is one thing, but there should also be strong commitment to the relationship that is built between the people who are in that relationship. There must be willingness to carry on even when things are not in favor. One needs to understand that no relationship will grow in itself. As we nurture plants from its seedling stage, to grow into a full tree, relationship also needs such commitment with patience, empathy and acceptance.

if interdependence implies a two-way dependence, and if each partner is equally dependent on the other for success, then there is an equal commitment to the making the partnership successful. the advantage is sustainability of the relationship, the disadvantage is that decisions are "democratic" and therefore may take longer to reach and more likely to be a compromise (which is not always the best solution). as the interdependence moves away from equality, the decisions become more influenced by the more independent partner. in the extreme the relationship becomes more dictatorial and more like "master-slave". generally the relationship has less commitment in both directions and is more likely to be temporary.

if one generalizes (and one shouldn't), equity partnerships, which is probably what is implied by interdependence, can be slow to progress or change but durable. the extreme alternative, independent-dependent partnerships tend to be efficient but more fragile.
