Checks and balances also are known as separation of powers. They are used as to for the three branch's of government (legislative, executive, judicial). It is used to make sure the each branch of government doesn't get stronger than the other two branch's.

The preamble is known as the introduction to the constitution. Also to show the constitution's powers. It was made by the founding fathers of the United States.

Here is your third

I don't think the amendment should be messed with or changed the amendments. Its a piece of history from the founding fathers that gave us are rights to our daily life's. So I don't think the amendments will or should be changed.
