·         Occupation – where the individual works or the individual’s standing

·         Income – the money the individual earns on his or her work

·         Wealth – the individual’s overall capability or the money he or she owns

·         Education – whether the individual graduated in a certain level, either elementary, high school or college

·         Place of residence – where the individual is residing

manifest functions are the recognized and intended consequences of any social pattern, while latent functions are those unrecognized and unintended consequences. to analyze the manifest functions of any social institution, we have to study its contribution to the continuation of a group, community, or society.
