Should the government tax certain products or activities in order to dissuade people from engaging in immoral or unhealthy activity? why or why not?

There are certain activities and products are there which leads to the immoral activity of the People. First of all government should identify that correctly, then want to rise the tax amount of that particular product.So that usage of those bad products will be lower.Government shoul concern with the country people so that their lives should not be affected.
