Greek city-states apply a direct democracy where all citizens take part in the political process. Most of the public business were ran by citizens. direct involvement of all citizens was a part of Athenian democracy which can be seen in almost every sphere of their life. They limit democracy in the sense that the concept of citizenship was too narrow. The majority of the population which includes people, not in the possession of land, women, slaves, and foreigners were excluded from citizenship.
