The fight, which happened on June 25–26, 1876, close to the Little Bighorn Waterway in eastern Montana Region, was the most conspicuous activity of the Incomparable Sioux War of 1876. The battle was a mind-boggling triumph for the Lakota, Northern Cheyenne, and Arapa.
