For this assignment, you will create a brochure about the local resources available for people interested
in receiving education and training for jobs and careers in Louisiana. The brochure will provide a wide
variety of current and reliable sources in a reader-friendly format that is concise and engaging.
Background Information
The state of Louisiana is home to many lucrative industries that employ thousands of citizens. People
interested in obtaining employment in Louisiana have a variety of resources available for the purpose of
training and educating people for a particular field, as well as connecting qualified individuals with
potential employeers.

Assignment Instructions
For this project, you are expected to submit:
1. A brochure that provides information of at least six local resources that provide education,
training, and employment services to citizens of Louisiana.
Step 1: Prepare for the project.
a) Read through the guide before you begin so you know the expectations for this project.
b) If there is anything that is not clear to you, be sure to ask your teacher.
Step 2: Research local resources that assist people with qualifying for and securing employment.
a) Familiarize yourself with industries in Louisiana that require specialized training.
b) Explore college and trade programs that target Louisiana’s industries.
c) Identify private and governmental employment resources specific to Louisiana residents.
Step 3: Create a pamphlet or a brochure.
a) Your brochure should target citizens interested in obtaining employment in Louisiana.
b) Your brochure should provide the audience with information about resources, including contact
information (address, phone number, services provided) for all six resources.
c) Your brochure should use space well and use a font that makes the brochure easy to read.
d) Your brochure should include appropriate pictures that are related to the information provided.
e) Your brochure should be a tri-fold document as shown in the image below.
