Okay so your an Attorney, WRITE AN OPENING STATEMENT DEFENDING YOUR CLIENT. YOU MUST USE EVIDENCE FROM PREVIOUS SUPREME COURT CASES TO PROVE YOUR CLIENT'S CASE. Each argument must include your opinion, the violated civil liberty/civil right or constitutional right and at least one court case to help your argument.

Your client was arrested for having possession of a controlled substance. Police officers were given a tip that he was selling prescription drugs. While away from home your client’s roommate opened the door and agreed to answer questions. The police officers then went into your client’s room without a warrant or consent and found the prescription bottles under his mattress. What constitutional rights were violated and what court case could you use to get the evidence thrown out.
