Why is accurate civic thinking critical to a democratic system?

Civic thinking refers to the awareness to everything that affect our society as a whole. In democratic system, the people will give their own to choose a leader that we believe will be the best candidate to handle every issue in our society.
Developing critical civic thinking will aid us in evaluating the right candidate for the job.
