What can you infer from the text about women’s lives during the 1920s?

    Well, I didn't get to read the text, but from my knowledge of what was happening during the 1920's, I'm pretty sure that women had more freedom than they did before World War 1- the answer is choice A.

     For instance, in the year 1920, the 19th amendment was passed, granting women the right to vote (suffrage). In fact, the election of  1920 was the first one in which women voted in! This was a new freedom for women.

Moreover, during World War, many of the men who worked in factories went to war, leaving jobs open for women to fill them in. This allowed the American public to see  the prominent effect that women could have on the nation. This allowed women to have jobs and become more independent!- another freedom.

To add on, during the 1920's a new group of girls emerged- they were known as flappers. This young ladies with bob haircuts and who wore provocative garments (such as short dresses) were basically revolutionary. For instance, they were very outgoing and expressive- their character changed dramatically from that of the 'former' ladies before the 1920's.To add on, they were able to do this because of what was going on during the 1920's (an era known as the Roaring Twenties- which was characterized by economic growth and prosperity). - another freedom!
