Today is my birthday. I'm turning 15 today, but my mother and dad can't afford anything special for me. There's 13 of us kids, and Poppie lost his farm up north, so he got a new job as a sharecropper this year. It's alright, but we had to move and the man he works for is the one that really owns everything. At least little pound cake would be nice.
