The trapping of ground radiation (heat) by the earth's atmosphere is called the greenhouse effect. As an example of the atmosphere's greenhouse effect, the temperature doesn't drop as much on a cloudy night as it does on a clear night. In this investigation, you will create your own "greenhouse" to demonstrate the greenhouse effect.
