Before a tornado strikes, the wind may die down and the air may become very still. A loud roar similar to a freight train may be heard. An approaching cloud of debris, even if a funnel is not visible. During a tornado wind speed increases, it is generally believed that tornadic wind speeds can be as high as 300 mph in the most violent tornadoes.

I am not really sure what wind is like after a tornado but I imagine it is quite heavy and moist but you should probably not take my word for it sorry :(
