To Andrew Jackson, the Indian Removal Act was justifiable. He thought that the Natives could now go and be freed from the power of the states, along with pursuing their own happiness in their own ways. By doing so, they would be able to establish a civilized community while remaining separated from immediate contact with whites. Andrew Jackson believed the Indian Removal Act would be beneficial. However, the Indian removal act was not justifiable to the Natives, because they did not receive things that they had been promised and the overall act was Unconstitutional. Andrew Jackson ignored the fact that removing the Natives with force was unconstitutional.
