With the passing of the 15th amendment, African American men were allowed to vote upon receiving freedom, and with the passing of the 19th amendment, women were given the right to vote. The Constitution contains three more amendments pertaining to voting rights, creating a more solid foundation for voting rules, such as the 26th amendment, which states one must be 18 years of age to vote. Because of the amendments regarding voting rights, the Constitution is fair to the United States's citizens.
