Should the U. S help Africans infected with hiv/aids?

I think the U.S. should help Africans that are infected with HIV/Aids because Africa is one of the world's poorest countries. Left untreated, HIV can kill so many CD4 cells that your body can no longer fight off infections. Africa does not have enough supplies to stay alive.
