Those who are high class and more wealthy will automatically have more opportunities – they can afford good schools, good food, health system, etc. They will also be seen as more worthy. As they can afford to take better care of themselves, their clothes will be more expensive and they can put time and money into themselves, and it has been proven that all these things psychologically affect weather we see the person as the more intelligent, more organized and most honest person (halo effect). They will, therefore, continue to have more opportunities open for them which can result in them getting wealthier and class differences getting bigger.

We can argue that low-class people can work more to earn more money and status, but it is much harder for those who come from low-class families to change the course of life. Universities still look into the fact whether someone from the family went to the university before, and base their entrance decisions on that, which results in children from the low-educated families to go to university less. Lower class people can’t afford a good child and health care, which results in them spending more time on these issues, and less time on earning money.

Class differences are very hard to overcome. The class we are born into will affectively cause some of our habits, views of the world, and reaction to it, and it is more likely we will “stay” in the same class during our life. There is a wide gap between classes with not much interaction (as low and high-class people go to different places, shops, restaurants, hotels, etc.), creating social diversion and animosity towards one another. This also has the effects further on racial and gender problems, as well as mentioned problems of social health and education.

Poor medical attention is sought by the bottom while upper and middle-class individuals are able to take care of their health.

   On the lower end of the socioeconomic ladder, people are affected by stress and financial pressure, which increases the risk of mental illness. Middle and upper-class individuals, on the other hand, are more fortunate and less stressed, which keeps the risk of mental illness low. This increased crime as a result.
