These gods are often portrayed in ways that basically makes people hate them but there is a lot to these gods that make them gods and reasons why they are gods.

For starters Dionysus was made a god by his father Zeus, due to his invention of wine impressing his father. Of course in many legends he often does things that make him seem childish or to immature to have the role of a god. Of course he does have a very important role as a god. His invention of wine brought happiness and joy to the people who it was brought upon.

Ares, the god of war, is definitely questioned whether he is worthy of being a god or not. I mean think about, normally all war has brought upon people death, pain, and sorrow. His role even wasn't that big of a role as god and he was even considered the most unpopular of all the Olympian gods. Although, war is really unnecessary, there is sometimes the need to fight back to defend your land and many other things.    

And finally Hades. Many and when same many I mean many, of people already look at Hades and think "Wow, he defiantly looks like a bad guy." Which in most cases is wrong, he simple is just the god of the Underworld, and when you come to think about it there wasn't much left for Hades as Zeus to the sky and Poseidon took the sea. Due to the fact that he is the god of the underworld many people think that he "causes" death but that's not the case as he simple just rule of the underworld and makes sure all death stays in the underworld.

Another thing that can be taken into consideration, is that Greek gods and goddess, along with other Greek mythology legends is that, these legends aren't suppose to be about role models or "Good guys" there's suppose to be about lessons. Though many people mistake this.
