Hormones have a huge effect on human emotions. Especially with women- we get surges of hormones and cry for no reason sometimes. I often cannot control how we feel or act (especially during or around that time of the month).
Sometimes it's just stress. Being overwhelmed or anything of the sort can really weigh on a person and our bodies just need to let it out.
Think of it like a balloon, with everything that piles up in our lives, our balloons get more and more inflated. We can have a healthy balance by letting some of the air out. That way we don't get too inflated that we burst.
Sometimes people like to tie off the balloon but the pressure keeps on building with nowhere to go. Eventually, one little thing, like a blade of grass or something can pop us. That can be any little thing to make us cry or explode with anger. Or sometimes we just burst on our own from too much pressure.
Think about this, a person whose balloon gets filled up frequently, but they also let the air out every so often, that balloon stretches and becomes capable of holding more air a little more easily.
