For a person starting 9th grade next year and thinking about going to college there is no need to fill out the FAFSA until a college has been selected, probably during senior year. There is no need to start applying for Grants and Scholarships as most of those look at your high school career and are for those soon to be in college. There is no need to sign up for College Admission Exams as those are taken in the last half of high school. By finding club and organizations that she is interested in she can learn more about her future field of education or career, and gain experience that will look good on her applications to college.
