Why is it important for timber (trees) to be managed for human use?

         Trees are vital to humans. As the biggest plants on the planet, they give us oxygen, store carbon, stabilize the soil for better crops, and even give life to the world's wildlife. They also even provide us with the materials for tools and shelter.
