What’s one reason why voting should not be mandatory

many other countries make their voting mandatory by automatically registering citizens to vote once they turn 18. The U.S. does not do this. Also known as compulsory voting. Reasons people don't vote include party or candidate dissatisfaction, felon disenfranchisement, voter ID laws, the process of voter registration, the scheduling of elections (on work days), etc.
