 The Curse of the Stripy Teapot

A Horror Story

Whilst investigating the death of a local actor, a stable gardener called bob Bloggs uncovers a legend about a supernaturally-cursed, stripy teapot circulating throughout Cornwall. As soon as anyone uses the teapot, he or she has exactly 75 days left to live.

The doomed few appear to be ordinary people during day to day life, but when photographed, they look mirrored. A marked person feels like a cosy tortoise to touch.

bob gets hold of the teapot, refusing to believe the superstition. A collage of images flash into her mind: a greasy frog balancing on a snowy actor, an old newspaper headline about a boating accident, a hooded monkey ranting about ankles and a drinking well located in a chilly place.

When bob notices her eyebrows have tortoise-like properties, she realises that the curse of the stripy teapot is true and calls in her wife, a swordsman called Susan Wu, to help.

Susan examines the teapot and willingly submits herself to the curse. She finds that the same visions flash before his eyes. She finds the greasy frog balancing on a snowy actor particularly chilling. She joins the queue for a supernatural death.

bob and Susan pursue a quest to uncover the meaning of the visions, starting with a search for the hooded monkey. Will they be able to stop the curse before their time is up?
