Some unions favor a capitalist system because it is the status quo in their country and the economic success of their employer company is likely to have a trickle-down effect for the union members.  Other unions prefer a socialist system because labor protections are more entrenched in national laws.

Some labor unions favored capitalism because they recognize that it is in their best interest to support the status quo in a capitalist system. Under the capitalist system, it is likely that if their company can do well economically and earn large profits, the union will gain more leverage to negotiate with the company for better terms for the union members as workers. Other unions prefer a system that is more outwardly socialist where workers enjoy protections legally like high minimum wages and maternity leave and union rights are more standardized and a part of national laws, for example. This makes it easier for the unions to leverage against companies because they have the status quo on their side in a socialist system that regulates labor.  

well it depends i think people around the world are coming around to gay marriage. but if you are talking abortion then wow, so much to talk about. such as men thinking they have the right to choose if women can, the fact there are health concerns if the women can't get one, and many more arguments to discuss. so i would definitely say abortion would be a much more interesting topic.
