as the Black Cowboys of Texas. One of these famous cowboys was Bose
Ikard. Ikard was an expert at pioneering and blazing a trail in new territory
Ikard helped open up the Goodnight-Loving Trail with ranch owners Charles
Goodnight and Oliver Loving. Goodnight and Ikard became friends during
the many cattle drives from Texas to New Mexico.
