What was the "Hearts and Minds” operations used during the Vietnam War

The phrase refers to the need to convince the people of Iraq that the intentions of the military action are positive and the ultimate goal is to help the Iraqi people. Despite the brutality of Saddam Hussein's rule and the conversations surrounding his ownership of weapons of mass destruction, many questioned the motivation for the invasion. In order for the mission to be successful, the military needed to gain the trust and support of the people of Iraq. This is one of the main goals of Robin's unit in the novel. In this speech, President George W. Bush and Britain's Prime Minister, Tony Blair, are speaking directly to the people of Iraq to explain their motives for beginning the military action.

nevertheless, throughout the history of the arab empire, rulers brought intellectual individuals from other religions to their centers of learning. these other foreigners included jews, christians, greeks, persians, and indians.   these resulted in the adoption of important knowledge developed by these cultures by the arabic empire. for example, the works of aristotle were translated from greek to arab and indian scientists brought the numerical concept of "zero" to the arabs.

nowadays, 93% of the arab population is muslim, which at the same time is subdivided in sects including the sunni, zaini, alawi, shia. the remaining 7% is composed mainly of christians.
