The Indus Valley Civilisation lay the foundation of modern cities. Do you agree? Why/why not?

The reason was that the civilization collapsed before it could spread, and its existence was mostly forgotten until recently. So the modern cities were shaped when people had close to no knowledge of the Indus cities whatsoever. Rather, innovations of the Indus civilization were reinvented millenia later.
