Claim: The Sudanese slit drum was the most historically significant object because it represented the end of the slave trade.
Reason: Defeating Khartoum was a step toward ending the slave trade, so when the drum was found in Khartoum, it was re-branded and presented to Queen Victoria as a token of victory.
