Many of the psychologists focused on religion but not focused ion ritualization. William James one of the psychologist who does not focus on the ritualization but focus on religion only.

This is the only area that is neglected by researchers. But Freud and William were two who discuss it very little. Erickson's theory was the theory that also focuses on the rituals activity that was inherently adapted by people. Erickson provides the rationale of adopting the rituals actions that would be adopted by people later on.
